About the Journal

Sacred Nature is an international, peer-reviewed bilingual (English - Urdu) research journal, publishes biannually by Government Graduate Talim ul Islam College Chenab Nagar. It publishes research articles, review essays, documents, art work, and book reviews in all disciplines of Islam and environment. Moreover, the articles related to philosophy, anthropology, sociology, architecture, political science, economics, language, literature, history, international relations, science, and technology with the focus on nature, environmental problems and their solution are also will be published in it. The objective of Sacred Nature is to publish original research and explore new dimensions of knowledge in the field of Islam and environment. The journal aims to identify and study contemporary environmental problems, destruction of the natural environment, and publish research articles to advance our understanding that how Islam shape our attitudes towards ecology/nature in both conscious and unconscious ways. It seeks to place Islam and the Islamic tradition, as for environmental crisis is concerned, as its central focus of academic inquiry and to encourage comprehensive consideration of its many facets: to provide a forum for the study of contemporary environmental crisis in Pakistan and Muslim societies in their global context; to promote the diffusion, exchange and discussion of research findings; and to encourage interaction among academics from various traditions of learning.
